British Heart Foundation 50 Mile Ride

I've entered for the 50 mile Worcestershire BHF charity ride on 26th June 2011.
It will be taking in a 50 mile route around the Worcestershire countryside. I will also be riding to & from the event adding a further 50 miles,
so hoping to complete my first 100 miles in a day ride.

Just a quick update on my preparations for the big day,
Fitted in a couple of good 50+ mile rides recently, including my first ride with the club which was a great morning out.
Also a good 45 mile ride the other day in a time of 2 hours 29 mins which I was quite happy with.

Bit of down time today & tomorrow as I blew a rear tyre on Tuesday evening when I hit a stone in the road at 35mph.
Didn't see it until it was to late, so took the opportunity to upgrade the stock tyres to something a bit better. Should be here Thursday so will be back on the road.

Hi all,

just to let you al know the ride went great today.
Completed 102.5 miles in 5 hours 44 mins, average speed of 17.9 mph.

Weather was stupidly hot though, got a great tan on the plus side though.

Once again many many thanks to everyone who made donations & offered words of support & advice.
So far it's looking like I should manage to raise around £200.
