Holly Run - 28/12/12

Further to the information in and accompanying the newsletter:

I'm happy to lead a ride for those not involved with the family rides who want to gently stretch the legs after the Christmas excesses.

Leave 9.30am sharp from the New Tardebigge pub. Plan is to do a 40 mile ride around the Lenches, returning in time for lunch at the pub. Approx 15mph average.

If there's any ice about or persistent rain I will wimp out.

I'll post more details nearer the time.

I'd like to come out for this one, but I've got the same caveats regarding the weather!

I wont be stopping for a meal afterwards, but I might stop for a drink

Forecast is for light rain & no ice - warm & wet. That sounds just about acceptable to me.

Lets wait to see what tomorrow brings so I will post again at about 7.30am tomorrow with a definite decision, but if the forecast is the same I will go for it.

Thanks to all the ride leaders today Gordon, Pam,and Jo we all had lovely rides with nice routes. I think we averaged just over 10 miles per hour on the longer ride not bad considering there were 26 people in the group. Thanks Terry for sweeping up at the rear. Thanks to Jo for organising the Food orders and the day in general. I thought all the slipstreamers rode really well.
