As the weather promises to be dry, Slipstreamers will be at the
Abbey Stadium this week. It will still be bitterly cold so make sure you have plenty of layers on and full-fingered gloves. Track mitts are not designed to keep you warm.
We are planning to run a
Saddle-up assessment evening. This will involve lots of different activities on the track and the car park for you to take part in at a level that is appropriate to your skill level. You will spend about 10 minutes on each activity and then move from one activity to another. Do not worry if you find an activity too tricky for you as coaching will be given and you can be assessed during another assessment session. We plan to hold assessment sessions each month and so there will be plenty of opportunities for you to practice and then be assessed.
One of the assessments is on simple bike maintenance so make sure your bike is CLEAN and in as good a condition as it can be!
(If you have a Club bike and it is not looked after it may be take away from you and given to someone who will look after it better. Be warned!)
If you need a copy of the Saddle-up scheme or any further information please email
youth@rrpcc.co.uk and a copy will be sent to you. (Members only)
See you on Wednesday.

ps. The Go-Ride Race that was cancelled on 13th Feb will now be held on
6th March. Please bring your entry forms and fees to Slipstreamers this week as this will help registration on race night. Thanks
