Well done team Redditch I reckon there were 22 of us racing yesterday

which was prety good considering the cold wet start. The little bit of mud made it

that much more exciting !!

Not forgetting the support team as well

Hopefully there will be a shed load of team points.

if you missed any of the announcements then the combined league and

MIDLAND REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (Sunday 6th December) need to be pr-entered,

except for the U10/U12s they can enter on the day. ...

Just a word of caution!

There are major road works on the Burnt Tree Island. This is the one at the far end of the Birmingham Road off Junction 2, M5 - just before Dudley.

I got stuck there for nearly half an hour in the middle of Friday morning

Might be OK in the morning - but I'm going to avoid it! I shall go past Clent and through Stourbridge.

See you in the morning.

It will for sure be cold so wrap up well.

if it is wet weather we will revert to plan 'B' , 'not sure what that will be yet but watch this space'.

Evans cycles are taking entries for an off road ride at Cannock Chase

on Saturday October 31st. Routes vary from 15 to 30 miles.

Having done the spectacularly hilly Cotswolds ride a month ago I can

thouroughly recommend these well organised events. Will be getting my

entry in for the long ride.

Any other takers?

See Evans website for details.

Sportif ride Sunday too.

I went out on the bike last night at 5 o' clock for a couple of hours. In that time I saw three people on separate occasions riding with no lights at all?

Why do people do that?

Lights are that cheap these days, there is no excuse really is there?

Why take the risk, cycling is dangerous enough without making the risks even higher?

To make matters worse, (I think?) one of those people was a senior member of this club and someone who I thought would have known better. ...

Did anyone watch the programme about food hygiene last night?

This is the website address that they mentioned - http://www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk/index.php

Put "Redditch" in the Quick Search section and then be amazed (as I was) at some of the poor results from some of the local establishments....

On the other hand, some results didn't really surprise me.

And what did they get for their efforts, an empty laptop bag that was hidden out of sight in the back.

You could clearly see where they had wiped the dew from the side window and because the retractable cover was closed in the back they could not see anything.

BUT, because the cover was shut they 'assumed' that there must be something hidden under it?

So in they went, and got a empty bag...

Hi there!

I'm the guy who turns up now and again on Saturday/Sunday club runs on my mountain bike! Well. you'll be pleased to learn that I have bought myself a road bike (a Pinarello Surprise) and although in general is is in great condition (unlike me) it does have some nasty paint chips on the down tube (see photo). Does anyone know where I could get these 'touched-up' - I think an airbrush will be required?

Many thanks - hope to see you on Saturday/Sunday - weather permitting - ...

F/S - Specialized P1 Overendz Bar Ends

Nearly in as new condition, the left hand one has a tiny mark on the lower corner where the bike was leant up against a wall. These have been taken from my wife's MTB so they have seen very little use.

Technical Spec:- Injection moulded nylon composite construction with soft rubber grip surface. 6061 aluminium alloy clamp interface. Perpendicular clamp design maximizes clamping force and minimizes pressure points on the handlebars.

Half new price at £10 delivered to your doorstep. ...
